Fusion Hair Extensions By Eydie Toll

By Appointment Only

Fusion Hair Extension Home Care

With skilled application and proper home care, fusion hair extension can last 3 – 6 months.  Hair extensions must be washed, conditioned and moisturized every couple of days. Moisturizing hair extensions is critical since this hair does not receive natural scalp oils. Remove all tangles and knots and keep them clean. With the cold fusion method used, you must not use a shampoo or conditioner which contains oils.  We recommend Nioxin Cleanser and Nioxin Bliss Leave-In Conditioner.

  1. Be gentle when shampooing, using luke-warm water.
  2. For longer lasting extensions, shampoo every 2 – 3 days.
  3. Use gentle shampoo without oil.
  4. If you have color in your extensions or natural hair, use a color treated shampoo.
  5. Do not use a heavy, oily conditioner.
  6. Spray leave-in conditioner is recommended (On the extension, not the polymer bond).
  7. Do not go to bed with wet hair.
  8. Comb or brush (boar head bristle brush) hair by holding hair at site just under polymer bond and comb and brush the extension downward away from polymer.  Do this several times a day.  This will help keep tangles out of extensions.  The Remi 100% human hair used is of the highest quality and is not prone to tangles, however minor tangling should be anticipated.
  9. Dry hair normally but stay away from polymer with heat.
  10. Style as usual.
  11. Buy a satin pillow case to avoid hair loss through friction or shearing effect.
  12. Avoid pulsating showerheads that exert high pressure.
  13. Do not wash, comb or brush your hair during the first 72 hours after application.
  14. Avoid pressure-based hair items: caps, barrettes, ponytail clips, hair bands during this 72 hour period.
  15. Avoid chlorine swimming pools and salt sea water.
